Dave Jones Live
Dave Jones started playing guitar at the tender age of 10 and singing at the pubescent age of 14. Most of his childhood was spent listening to records and tapes of music his parents and brother enjoyed. Somewhere before he started playing guitar his family bought an organ. It was fiddling around with this instrument that Dave acquired his wicked ear for pitch and harmony.
Dave performed many shows as a teenage guitarist/singer in pubs around his then hometown Swan Hill.
At 24 he moved to Melbourne to grow as a musician and hopefully crack through and become “professional”. He did it. Dave writes “Musician” on his tax lodgment every year and has done since 2003.
Dave spent seven years playing with popular cover band Passionfruit Pulp in various venues around Melbourne including The Mercury Lounge, Club Odeon and many more. This band also did supports for bands such as Thirsty Merc, Eskimo Joe and The Living End, playing on large outdoor stages entertaining crowds in excess of 5000 people.
Over recent years Dave has been doing an average of five shows a week in various venues, in various acts.
Somewhere along the way Dave decided it would be really cool to talk about himself in the 3rd person.
